Basic information

The Technical University of Munich is a state-funded institution founded in 1868. The University has campuses in Munich, Garching, Weihenstephan (Freising), Straubing, and Singapore and a backup in Singapore. The University is ranked fourth in Reuters’ 2017 European Most Innovative University rankings.
