Ticketed Flight Details/Itinerary,

Verify your room at the hotel (or letter of sponsorship). The hotel’s letterhead is required, along with an official signature and seal, for the reservation. Third-party hotel booking sites like (booking.com; agoda.com) are not accepted.

Authentic Passport Submission and Collection Authorization Letters (with two copies) duly signed by the Applicant. Use this sample Authorization Letter as a guide (leave the name of the Authorization Person blank).

Please take note:

Remember that the Embassy will only provide the Applicant an “OK to board” letter when they have received consent from the relevant Mauritius authorities. You may get through Dhaka Airport’s immigration using this letter. If you arrive at the port of Entry in Mauritius with this letter, the immigration officials there will award you a visa upon arrival.

Some thoughts on the matter:

Keep in mind that the Applicant is also expected to bring the following with them on their trip:

Must have a passport or other acceptable travel papers that are valid for the length of their stay in Mauritius;

A ticket that may get them back to their home or place of origin;

Have enough money to pay for your lodgings (about US$50-100 per night in Mauritius unless sponsored);

Make sure you have a hotel room booked in Mauritius. A signed and sealed letter printed on the hotel’s letterhead confirming the reservation is required. Hotel bookings via a third-party site (booking.com, agoda.com, etc.) will not be honored.

You must send a Letter of Sponsorship with the following information if a Mauritius citizen pays for your trip and invites you to visit the country.
