Tourist Visa Requirement

The following is a general checklist for visa papers depending on the designated Embassy or visa office. Depending on your trip itinerary, visa category, and other supporting documents, you may increase your chances of being granted a visa. 1) Travel paperwork:

Authentic Passport with at least two blank pages for visa stamping and a minimum six-month validity beyond the planned travel date.

  1. a) A copy of any previously issued passports or visas.
  2. b) Provide copies of all previous passports (if any).
  3. c) The details from the official Letter the country’s authorities issued are preferred if a visa request is rejected.

2) The applicant must complete and sign the visa application form for Belgium.

3) Two current, passport-size images with a matte or semi-matt finish, 60-80% face coverage, a white background, and no borders are required (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

Please be aware that the picture must be at most three months, be scanned or stapled, and have never been used for a visa.

The applicant’s name, position, passport number, purpose, and a declaration about who will be responsible for paying the total trip cost, including airfare, hotel, and other fees, are all included in the cover Letter from the application. The visa officer of the Belgian Embassy in Dhaka is the recipient.

5) Invitation letter: Include the date, duration, and reason for your visit, along with documentation of any family ties you may have to the host, as well as any affiliations you may have with the person or group who invited you. (If appropriate)

6) Forwarding Letter: a) A forwarding letter/NOC from the applicant’s corporate authority on the employer’s letterhead, outlining the applicant’s name, position, passport number, and intended use and length of stay.

  1. b) A letter from the educational institution asking for a visa, a student ID, or enrollment documentation (if student)

7) Evidence of Occupation: a) If the applicant is a first-time traveler or a business owner, a company registration certificate (original notarized English translation and photocopy of the original).

  1. b) Copy of the visitor cards and office ID cards.

8) Financials: a) A personal bank statement for the last six months that includes the name and phone number of the Bank.

  1. d) The last six months’ worth of pay stubs. (If appropriate)

9) Hotel and Flight Bookings: Ticket Itinerary and Flight Booking

10) Civil status-related documents for the applicant:

For married candidates, a marriage certificate (such as a “Nika Namah” for Muslims or a “wedding deed” for Hindus, both translated) is required.

Travel insurance must provide coverage for the whole Schengen region (11). The insurer must pay up to 30,000 Euros in medical expenses, hospitalization, and repatriation costs. The insurance must be valid the whole time they visit the Schengen area.
