After receiving a brief safari orientation upon your arrival at JKIA, a Wildtrek Safaris representative will meet you and take you to Amboseli National Park. Make sure you reach the lodge before lunchtime. The resort is ideally situated to provide a broad perspective of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is covered with snow.
Full day game drive in Amboseli (0730-1530 hrs) with picnic lunches. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants some of them with rushed over 2 meter long. Giraffes, cheetahs and lions can also be seen in Amboseli. Dinner and overnight at AMBOSELI SENTRIM CAMP (B/L/D).
After eating breakfast at the resort, travel through Nairobi for lunch on your way to the Rift Valley Lakes region. Following lunch, you continue climbing the eastern rift valley escarpment and drop to the Great Rift Valley floor, one of the few recognizable physical features on the moon. The rift valley is regarded as the birthplace of humanity, as the greatest portion of human history has been preserved for future generations on rocks, in caves, or buried beneath a great depth of earth. Reach the Lodge on the banks of Lake Elementaita in time for lunch, which is served later. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
After breakfast, head to Lake Bogoria for a picnic lunch, crossing the equator en route. Drive around the lake, which is home to thousands of pink flamingos, on a game drive after arriving at the lakeshore. This area is home to several rare creatures, including the Klipspringer and the elusive Kudu. There are hot springs and geysers beside the lake, some of which can shoot up to five meters into the air. Remain overnight at LAKE ELEMENTAITA SENTRIM LODGE (B/L/D) and return for dinner.
After eating breakfast, head to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Maasai personnel at the resort will greet you with warmth when you arrive for lunch. After enjoying lunch at the lodge, head out on the park's afternoon first game drive, where you can see the endangered black mane lion. Dinner at MARA SIMBA LODGE (B/L/D) and overnight stay.
A full day of wildlife viewing and exploration in the expansive Mara during your stay in Masai Mara After breakfast, head out on a full-day game drive (0730-0530hrs) with picnic lunches in tow, allowing you to see more of the surrounding area, including the Mara River. Every meal and the B/L/D MARA SIMBA LODGE
Following breakfast, leave for Nairobi, arriving early in the afternoon. Once there, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon.
Check out of your accommodation and head to the airport for your trip home after breakfast.
