Day-01: Arrive in Tunis

When you arrive in Tunis, Tunisia's capital, your driver will meet you and transport you to your accommodation. If you arrive early, you can tour the medieval Tunis Medina, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. You will go through tight streets and alleyways, encountering local artists such as copper, leather, and wool workers, as well as finely made carpets. The famed Zitouna Mosque, spice bazaar, and gold souk (market) are must-sees. Dinner will be in the hotel.

Day-02: Tunis / Carthage / Sidi Bou Said / Bardo Museum / Tunis

After breakfast, you will explore the ancient archeological site of Carthage, which was once the biggest city in northern Africa. This site contains ruins from several historical periods: the Punics, Romans, Vandals, and Byzantines all claimed the territory at some point. Continue to the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. We'll stroll along its neatly paved roads and marvel at the breathtaking sea views. Return to Tunis to explore the Bardo Museum. This world-class museum houses the greatest mosaic collection in the world. The museum also features several rooms with antiquities from the Punic to Islamic periods. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day-03: Tunis / Dougga / Makthar / Kairouan

After breakfast, you will go to Dougga, one of Tunisia's most well-preserved Roman remains. This massive Roman archaeological site was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Locals are frequently seen herding their sheep around the Roman ruins, which overlook the wide surrounding regions. Continue to the Roman site of Makthar. There are several outstanding archeological wonders, including a Trajan forum, enormous baths, a schola juvenum (Roman small militia club), and other prehistoric monuments. There is also a modest museum with mosaics and other antiquities excavated from the site. After that, you'll journey to Kairouan, an important Islamic city. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day-05: Kairouan / Sbeitla / Tozeur

This morning, we will visit the great mosque Okba Ibn Nafaa, which was built in 670 AD. You will also see the mausoleum of Mohammed's Berber friend and the Aghlabid pool. Kairouan has a historic medina with meandering lanes that are well worth visiting! You may want to visit a carpet-making workshop to observe, admire, and learn about this remarkable artisan job. Next, visit the archeological site of Sbeitla, which has ancient churches, finely built baptisteries, temples, baths, and the Arch of Diocletian. When you're done exploring, you'll head to Tozeur. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day-06: Tozeur / Chebika / Tamerza / Mides / Ong Jemel / Tozeur

Morning departure toward El Jem. The Roman Coliseum in this city is among the best preserved in the world. It was built between 230 and 238 AD and is thought to have once held between 30,000 and 45,000 spectators. Take your time exploring this massive complex, and don't forget to descend to the rooms where gladiators awaited their battle. Next, you will journey to Sousse. If you have time today, you can go through the ancient medina and visit the Ribat and tower. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day-07: Tozeur / El Jem / Sousse

If you haven't already, you'll see the remaining historic sites in Sousse right after breakfast. After lunch, you will travel to Thuburbo Majus, a Roman site that includes a tiny coliseum, baths, and different Roman residences. Onlookers can see life in a typical Roman African metropolis. Continue to the mountainside Roman site of Zaghouan, where you will see a temple dedicated to the 'water deity'. When you're ready, spend the rest of the day in the coastal city of Hammamet.
