Take a day trip to Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci to explore Belgrade's surrounds. Explore the vibrant city of Novi Sad, which was once the Austro-Ottoman war's border region but is today a hub for trade, culture, and the economy. Before seeing the elaborate and striking artwork inside the Orthodox Cathedral, take a tour of the Greek school and the Old Matica Srpska Library and Gallery from the outside. Take in the breathtaking environment as you explore Petrovaradin Fortress, the best-preserved Danube River fortress constructed during Queen Mary Theresa's reign and including a tunnel system and recognizable clock tower. Proceed to the picturesque village of Sremski Karlovci for a tour of the local artwork and history. You feel as though you've traveled back in time thanks to the architecture, customs, and amiable locals. Take a tour of the stunning baroque center, which includes the Fountain of Four Lions, St. Nicolas Church, the Gymnasium, and the Patriarchal Residence. After breakfast at the hotel, head out on an interesting excursion to the hilltop Oplenac, which is above Topola. This historical site tells us a story about the royal dynasty Karadjordjevic, whose history started here. Here, beneath Oplenac, was born Karadjordje Petrovic, the leader of the First Serbian Uprising and the ancestor of the Karadjordjevic dynasty. See a complex that includes the Royal Family's home, the Church of St. George, and the Dynasty Mausoleum. The tour continues to a nearby winery where you can partake in a delectable dinner and wine. The next stop on your journey is Nis, a town with a rich past filled with historical sites and the birthplace of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Take control of the early XVIIIth-century stronghold walls, which are now among the most exquisite and well-preserved fortresses on the Balkan Peninsula. Stroll through the stronghold and proceed to King Milan's Square by crossing the bridge on the opposite side. Explore Tinkers Alley, a quaint and historic section of a former "Turkish" street dating back to the XVII and XVIII centuries. This old street of craftsmen used to be lined with cobblestones. Here, you can stroll along Sofia's yellow-glazed brick streets by "following the yellow brick road." See the magnificent Aleksandar Nevski Memorial Church, a late 19th- and early 20th-century masterwork renowned for its exquisite mosaics and gilded domes. Proceed towards the Neo-Renaissance National Assembly main building, the Presidency, and the Early Christian St. George's Rotunda, which is renowned for its distinctive frescoes and original design.

Travel under the shade of Vitosha Mountain in the morning to visit the amazing church Boyana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will find a collection of iconic artwork and well-preserved medieval frescoes from the thirteenth century. Travel to the Bulgarian Orthodox Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set in breathtaking mountainous surroundings. Although the monastery was founded in the tenth century, it has since suffered from numerous fires and lootings. For hundreds of years, from the medieval era until the 19th century, Bulgarian cultural preservation was upheld by this historical and religious institution. Visit the ancient monument at Shipka Peak, a revered location for all Bulgarians, and the Russian Church in the settlement of Shipka. Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo late in the afternoon.

The fictitious figure Count Dracula drew inspiration from Vlad the Impaler, also known as Vlad III Dracula, who governed this region in the fifteenth century. Discover the breath-taking history and fantasy-like architecture of the castle. Proceed to the resort town of Sinaia via the wild Transylvanian forest and take a visit of Peles Castle, an incredible 19th-century royal residence. It is regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful castles and a masterwork of German new Renaissance architecture.
