3 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech To Fes

At your accommodation, start the day with breakfast. Travel to Tinghir, an oasis where you may take an hour-long stroll down the riverbank all the way to Todgha Gorges, by following the route of 1001 Kasbahs. Get some spare time to take in the view before lunch here. Walk to Merzouga in the early afternoon, where your caravan of camels is waiting for you. From here, take in the breathtaking sunset while riding your camel through Erg Chebbi's sand dunes. Arrive at your Sahara desert camp, tucked amongst the dunes, before dusk. Here, you'll have a Moroccan dinner al fresco while listening to the local nomads play drums around the campfire.

If you want to see the sunrise, your desert hosts will wake you up. After breakfast, continue your journey to Midelt, a tiny hamlet in the center of the Atlas Mountains, your lunch stop for the day, by driving along the Ziz River, which features an incredible oasis surrounded by palm trees and fortified ksours (castles). Proceed toward Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains in the afternoon. Witness a striking contrast to the dry and stony scenery of the remainder of the tour: snow-capped mountains, cedar woods, and lush flora. Early evening sees the end of your Marrakech to Fes desert excursion as your driver drives you to your Fes riad or hotel.
