Business Visa Requirement

A valid passport (for at least six months after entry/visa issuance) is necessary.

A finished visa application. The Visa Application Form may be downloaded in PDF format by clicking here.

A colored photograph that is passport size (2 in. X 2 in.)

A paid-for plane or bus ticket out of Costa Rica and a photocopy of your itinerary from your travel agent.

A plan for where you’ll be going and when. Only purchase your aircraft tickets once your visa has been approved.

Documentation shows a healthy financial situation during the previous three months (bank account statements, wages, etc.).

Certificate of Good Standing from the Department of State Police issued within the last six months and certified by an Apostille (It has been translated into Spanish.)

Certificate of No Criminal Record from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Evidence of Visit Purpose 10.

The Consulate may require further paperwork.
