Day-01: Arrive in Cebu City, Free Time to Explore

Welcome to the Philippines! After arriving at Mactan Cebu International Airport, you will be transferred to your lodging in the heart of Cebu City, which will take around an hour. This city, located on Cebu Island's eastern coast, is one of the most populous in the Philippines. Check in and take the time you need to adjust to your new surroundings. Alternatively, if you feel up to it, you can go out and explore straight away. The Cebu Taoist Temple, with its intricate design and dragon figures, and the 16th-century Basilica del Santo Nino, the country's oldest Roman Catholic Church, are two must-sees. There are also dozens of various eateries across the city, providing anything from traditional Filipino fare like as lumpia (deep-fried spring rolls) and pancit (noodles commonly eaten with mixed veggies and pork) to Mexican and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Day-02: AFOS Foundation Visit, Cebu Heritage Tour, Fly to El Nido

Day two begins with a visit to the AFOS Foundation. AFOS is the primary force behind the FISH Visayas Project, a significant attempt to support indigenous fishermen in the Philippines' Central Visayas region. You will be driven directly to the AFOS headquarters, where you will learn more about the project and its exciting work. Then, around lunchtime, savor a superb meal at one of the city's popular restaurants before continuing your day on a guided heritage tour. Your tour will begin at the Cebu Heritage Monument, a mixed-media monument created by several local artists depicting the tales and architecture that make up Cebu City. You'll then see an old Jesuit priest's home, followed by the 17th-century Yap San Diego House, which features hand-carved furniture and ornate interiors. Your journey next takes a religious turn, with visits to the city's most famous cathedrals, the Basilica del Santo Nino and the Cebu Cathedral. Your guide will next take you to Magellan's Cross, a famous stone kiosk built by explorer Ferdinand Magellan and his companions when they arrived in the Philippines in 1521. The vibrant Carbon Market is your next stop, where the aroma of fresh food fills the air, and you'll end up at Fort San Pedro, a historic military stronghold built by Spanish colonizers. After the trip, take an hourlong transport to the airport for a 90-minute flight to your next stop, the village of El Nido on Palawan island.

Day-03: El Nido Island-Hopping Adventure

Today, you'll see a completely different side of the Philippines as you explore the country's beaches, caverns, and lagoons at El Nido. El Nido, on Palawan Island, is a tranquil, beautiful region with white sand beaches, coral reefs, and stunning cliffs. It is also known as the entryway to the Bacuit archipelago, which consists of hundreds of islands scattered over crystal-clear turquoise waters. Today's scheduled boat cruise will take you over those islands. You will explore the Big Lagoon, which has towering limestone cliffs, as well as Shimizu Island, which is known for its beautiful beaches and snorkeling opportunities. The journey will also include stops at the sugar-like white sands at Payong-Payong Beach, the hidden, romantic Secret Lagoon, and Seven Commandos Beach, where you may swim, snorkel, and enjoy the scenery.

Day-04: Day Trip to Darocotan Island

Today, you'll continue your shoreline excursion by visiting the small island of Darocotan. Darocotan, located off the northeast coast of El Nido, is only a 15-minute boat ride away, but it feels like a hidden paradise. You'll be taken over in the morning and given nearly a full day to enjoy and explore the beaches, as well as bask in the island's tropical splendor. It is up to you how you spend your time. Rest and relax on the smooth sands, or dive into the clear waters. Darocotan is an excellent snorkeling destination, surrounded on all sides by pristine reefs. There's even a shipwreck barely 164 feet (50 meters) offshore that has become a thriving habitat for a variety of colorful tropical species, including clownfish. Turtles and rays can also be seen around Darocotan, so keep a watch out.

Day-05: Day Trip to Darocotan Island

Day five puts your island-hopping odyssey to a close. You will be picked up at your accommodation and driven to El Nido Airport in less than an hour. From there, you'll fly back to Cebu for 90 minutes before boarding your next trip back home. Safe travels.
